At the Berkhamsted MC & CC South Midland OSET Cup (11/9/21) we welcomed 7 new youth riders to their first trial and 22 youth overall! Wow what a day we all had!!
We were blessed with the weather & everybody was fed & watered (on the club) and awards were presented at the end of the trial!!!
There were four classes
Youth E:
1st Thomas Tidd 0
2nd Tommy Sturgess 44
3rd Ruben Howling 80
Youth Green:
1st Bradley Sims 19
2nd Taylor Jempsom 23
3rd Dexter Rowden 27
Youth Novice:
1st Alfie Shaw 2
2nd Harry Hunt 47
3rd Tristan Phipps 56
Youth Inter:
1st Sam Lefevre 8
Youth E was a resounding win for an ever-improving Thomas Tidd, whose mum gets fitter by the second running in front of him every section…
Youth Green is a closely contested group with Bradley Sims winning for the third time in this series. But what is good to see is that the others in the most well supported class are catching him! Taylor Jempson & Dexter Rowden looking the most likely to topple Bradley. It will be interesting to see this group move up through the ranks over the next few years.
Youth Novice saw Alfie Sims not only finding more confidence as he comes back from injury, but riding an almost perfect trial!
In the Youth Inter Sam Leferve was the only contestant, but few would argue that we are seeing one of the best OSET riders in the country! There are few who can hold on to his coat tails at the moment, but hopefully we are going to see others biting at his heels soon!
So in all a GREAT DAY in a sport revolutionised by OSET… Thanks to you all...
